This fall, we are thrilled to welcome award-winning author, Mandy Majors from nextTalk, speaking on September 11th from 5-7pm in the Auditorium at Grace Snellville. We highly encourage you to attend! This is an adult-only event with mature content. Please note – this is for parents with kids of all ages. If you have a preschooler, teenager or any age in-between, you need the relevant information shared by this organization. Even if your child doesn’t have a phone, their friend probably does or will. Anyone who is raising kids in today’s digital age will benefit from this content.
Although we’ll focus on how to keep kids safe in a digital world, this event will encompass so much more than cyber-parenting! For example:
1. We’re raising our kids in a different world. Taking children to church and praying isn’t enough to keep them grounded in this culture. nextTalk is ready to equip you.
2. Everyone agrees that technology is changing our kids, but what does that really mean? nextTalk will paint a picture for you and clearly define the problem we face.
3. Many Christian parents are feeling isolated and are afraid to talk about what their kids are really struggling with. nextTalk will create a safe space where you will find support.
4. Pornography, sex trafficking, sexuality, self-harming, bullying and suicide are just a few of the topics we’ll cover.
Be prepared for real, raw and sometimes difficult-to-hear information. But, the prayer of nextTalk is that you will leave empowered, hopeful and supported. Mandy will present a solution to this big scary problem and provide you with practical advice to implement in your home right now to keep your kids safe.
Childcare will be provided for babies through 8th Grade.
